oil radiator

An oil radiator, commonly referred to as an oil cooler in heavy equipment, functions to maintain the optimal temperature of the oil used within the machinery’s hydraulic system or engine. High operating temperatures can cause oil to degrade, losing its lubricating properties and potentially leading to increased wear or failure of components. Cooling of Oil:
Attached to the tubes of the radiator are fins that increase surface area further and allow air to pass over them.
As the machinery operates, a fan (either mechanically driven or electric) forces air across these fins.
The air absorbs the heat from the fins (and thus from the oil), and this warmed air is then expelled away from the radiator.
In some systems, especially in larger machinery, the radiator may be part of a larger cooling system that includes a coolant radiator and intercooler, all working in conjunction to maintain the machinery’s operating temperatures.
