drive shaft

The drive shaft in a hydraulic pump and motor serves as the mechanical link between the power source (often an engine or electric motor) and the hydraulic component. In a pump, the drive shaft transfers the rotational energy from the power source to drive the pump’s internal components, which pressurize the hydraulic fluid. In a hydraulic motor, the drive shaft receives the pressurized fluid and converts it back into rotational energy, which can then be used to power machinery or equipment. Essentially, the drive shaft is the intermediary component that enables the transfer of energy between the power source and the hydraulic system.
